Claude Monet died today – 81 years ago

French painter Claude Oscar Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris, France. He said, “For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life - the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value." [It works for some people, too.]... Mr. Monet died in 1926 in Giverny, France.
