Frederick Loewe died today – 20 years ago

Composer (think: “Brigadoon” and “My Fair Lady” and “Gigi” and “Camelot”) Frederick Loewe was born on June 10, 1904 (or 1901) in Vienna, Austria or Berlin, Germany. He said, (about his songwriting partner Alan Jay Lerner), “It won't be long before we'll be writing together again. I just hope they have a decent piano up there." [And it wasn’t ... long, that is ... because Mr. Lerner died on June 14, 1986.]... Mr. Loewe died on February 14, 1988 in Palm Springs, Germany.
