Singer (think: “Mona Lisa”) and songwriter (think: “Straighten Up and Fly Right”) Nat King Cole was born as Nathaniel Adams Coles on March 17, 1919 in Montgomery, Alabama. He said, “Critics don't buy records. They get 'em free." [Sometimes something is worth no more than what you pay for it.]... Mr. Cole died on February 15, 1965 in Santa Monica, California.
