William Blackstone died today – 228 years ago

Jurist and professor (think: “Commentaries on the Laws of England”) William Blackstone was born on July 10, 1723 in Cheapside, London, England. He said, “It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer." [Amen! But why can't we do better than that? Hint: when a monopoly controls something, there's no incentive to do any better.]... Mr. Blackstone died on February 14, 1780 in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, England.

OK. It’s not about Mr. Blackstone, but wasn’t it nice anyway?
