Ayn Rand died today – 26 years ago

Writer (think: “We the Living”, “Anthem”, “The Fountainhead”, “Atlas Shrugged”) & philosopher (think: “For the New Intellectual”, “The Virtue of Selfishness”, “Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal”, “Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology”, “The Romantic Manifesto”, “The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution”, “Philosophy: Who Needs It”) Ayn Rand was born as Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum on February 2, 1905 in St. Petersburg, Russia. She said, “Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual)." [Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! ... There! Did I say it enough times? Amen!]... Ms. Rand died on March 6, 1982 in New York City, New York.
