Author (of the poems “Evangeline, A Tale of Acadie” (1847) and “The Song of Hiawatha” (1855)) Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was born on February 27, 1807 in Portland, Maine. He said, “All things come round to him who will but wait." [Most of which you won’t want.]... Mr. Longfellow died on March 24, 1882 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
