Author (of “Faust”) Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was born on August 28, 1749 in Free City of Frankfurt. He said, “Know thyself? If I knew myself I would run away." [Oh, my!]... Mr. Goethe died on March 22, 1832 in Weimar, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.
