Author (of “The Charterhouse of Parma“ (1839)) Stendhal was born as Marie-Henri Beyle on January 23, 1783 in Grenoble, France. He said, “All religions are founded on the fear of the many and the cleverness of the few." [Oh, my!]... Mr. Stendhal died on March 23, 1842 in Paris, France.
