Author (of “The Ballad of Peckham Rye” (1960) and “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” (1961)) Muriel Spark was born as Muriel Sarah Camberg on February 1, 1918 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She said, “One should only see a psychiatrist out of boredom." [No “problem” there.]... Ms. Spark died on April 13, 2006 in Florence, Italy.
