Author (of “Angle of Repose” (1972)) and teacher Wallace Earle Stegner was born on February 18, 1909 in Lake Mills, Iowa. He said, “A teacher enlarges people in all sorts of ways besides just his subject matter." [Hopefully.]... Mr. Stegner died on April 13, 1993 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
