Alexander Pope died today – 264 years ago

Author (of the poems “Eloisa to Abelard” and “An Essay on Man”) Alexander Pope was born on May 21, 1688 in London, England. He said, “Histories are more full of examples of the fidelity of dogs than of friends." [Good doggies.]... Mr. Pope died on May 30, 1744 in Twickenham, England.
