Author (of the poem Thanatopsis) William Cullen Bryant was born on November 3, 1794 in Cummington, Massachusetts. He said, “Weep not that the world changes - did it keep a stable, changeless state, it were cause indeed to weep." [We’d probably think that it had died.]... Mr. Bryant died on June 12, 1878 in New York City, New York.
