Author (of the poems Auld Lang Syne, Scots Wha Hae, and A Red, Red Rose) Robert Burns was born on January 25, 1759 in Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland. He said, “Man's inhumanity to man makes countless thousands mourn!" [So let’s change it.]... Mr. Burns died on July 21, 1796 in Dumfries, Scotland.
