Scientist Linus Carl Pauling was born on February 28, 1901 in Portland, Oregon. He said, “Everyone should know that most cancer research is largely a fraud, and that the major cancer research organizations are derelict in their duties to the people who support them.” [I'm sure that there's a lot of waste there, but is it true?]... Mr. Pauling died on August 19, 1994 in Big Sur, California.
