Actor (on The Mary Tyler Moore Show) Jack Cassidy was born as John Joseph Edward Cassidy on March 5, 1927 in Richmond Hill, New York. He was the father of David Cassidy. He was also the father of Shaun Cassidy when he was married to Shirley Jones... Mr. Jack Cassidy died on December 12, 1976 in West Hollywood, California.
