Steve Allen was born on December 26, 1921 as Stephen Valentine Patrick William Allen in New York City, New York. He had been married to actress Jayne Meadows. He composed the music to the song Theme from Picnic. He hosted the TV variety show The Steve Allen Show. Mr. Allen died on October 30, 2000 in Los Angeles, California.
