Don Gibson was born on April 3, 1928 as Donald Eugene Gibson in Shelby, North Carolina. He wrote and sang the songs Sweet Dreams and I Can’t Stop Loving You. Mr. Gibson died on November 17, 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee.
