Louis Agassiz died today – 134 years ago

Swiss-U.S. naturalist Louis Agassiz was born on May 28, 1807 in Môtier (now part of Haut-Vully), Switzerland. He said, “Every scientific truth goes through three states: first, people say it conflicts with the Bible; next, they say it has been discovered before; lastly, they say they always believed it." [And next they forget it.]... Mr. Agassiz died in 1873 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
