U.S. actress Carole Lombard was born as Jane Alice Peters on October 6, 1908 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She said, “Hollywood is where they write the alibis before they write the story." [You gotta get that story right.]... Ms. Lombard died in 1942 in Mount Potosi (near Las Vegas) or Table Rock Mountain, Nevada in an airplane crash.
