Author (of Brothers and Sisters) Bebe Moore Campbell was born as Elizabeth Bebe Moore on February 18, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Campbell died on November 27, 2006 in Los Angeles, California.

I am sadden to read of Bebe's passing. We were play mates growing up in Philadelphia and I will always remember going to see a musicial with her and her mother and cousin Michel. I read most of her books and the mention of the words "greese monkey",I believe she was inferring my dad who was her grandma's cousin and fixed cars all the time in front of the house. I was known then as Jeannie and I lived on Mole Street, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
