Hector Berlioz died today – 139 years ago

Composer (think: “Symphonie fantastique” (1830) and “Grande Messe des morts, Op. 5 (or Requiem)” (1837)) Louis Hector Berlioz was born on December 11, 1803 in La Côte-Saint-André, France. He said, “Every composer knows the anguish and despair occasioned by forgetting ideas which one had no time to write down." [So always carry a little book and pencil hanging on a cord around your neck, like Lily Tomlin did in “Murphy Brown”.]... Mr. Berlioz died on March 8, 1869 in Paris, France.
