Writer (think: “Norwood, or Village Life in New England” (1868)) Henry Ward Beecher was born on June 24, 1813 in Litchfield, Connecticut. He said, “Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?" [So that explains why I bought so many books.]... Mr. Beecher died on March 8, 1887 in Brooklyn, New York.
