Victor August Herbert was born on February 1, 1859 in Dublin, Ireland. He composed the music to the operettas Babes in Toyland and Naughty Marietta (with the song “Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life”). Mr. Herbert died on May 26, 1924 in New York City, New York.
