U.S. actress Marion Davies was born as Marion Cecelia Douras on January 3, 1897 in Brooklyn, New York. She said, “Somebody told me I should put a pebble in my mouth to cure my stuttering. Well, I tried it, and during a scene I swallowed the pebble and that was the end of that." [Was that the stuttering or the pebble?]... Ms. Davies died in 1961 in Hollywood, California.
