U.S. Governor (Texas, 1991-1995) Ann Richards was born as Dorothy Ann Willis Richards on September 1, 1933 in Lakeview, Texas. She said, “Let me tell you, sisters, seeing dried egg on a plate in the morning is a lot dirtier than anything I've had to deal with in politics." [Oh, really?]... Ms. Richards died in 2006 in Austin, Texas.
U.S. Governor (Alabama, 1963-1967, 1971-1979, 1983-1987) George Wallace was born as George Corley Wallace Jr. on August 25, 1919 in Clio, Alabama. He said, “I've read about foreign policy and studied—I know the number of continents." [That’s probably better than some of them nowadays.]... Mr. Wallace died in 1998 in Montgomery, Alabama.
