Singer (of Takes Two to Tango) and actress Pearl Mae Bailey was born on March 29, 1918 in Newport News, Virginia. She said, “A crown, if it hurts us, is not worth wearing.” [But it can look so good.]... Ms. Bailey died on August 17, 1990 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
