Composer Dimitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich was born on September 25, 1906 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He said, “A creative artist works on his next composition because he was not satisfied with his previous one.” [And here I thought that it was because there was so much inside... Hmmmmmm.]... Mr. Shostakovich died on August 9, 1975 in Moscow, Russia.
