Dancer and actress Sally Rand was born as Harriet Helen Gould Beck on April 3 (or January 2), 1904 in Hickory County, Missouri. She said, “I'm not the type to sit on the porch and watch life go by.” [And don’t you do it either. Just do it.]... Ms. Rand died on August 31, 1979 in Glendora, California.
