U.S. naturalist and writer Edwin Way Teale was born on June 2, 1899 in Joliet, Illinois. He said, “The difference between utility and utility plus beauty is the difference between telephone wires and the spider web." [But can you talk over spider webs?]... Mr. Teale died in 1980 in Norwich, Connecticut.
