Don Gibson died today – 4 years ago
U.S. songwriter Donald Eugene Gibson was born on April 3, 1928 in Shelby, North Carolina. He wrote "I Can't Stop Loving You". (Can you hear Ray Charles singing it?) He also wrote the song "Sweet Dreams". (Can you hear Patsy Cline singing it?) He said, “Simple is the only way I can write." [We don't need complexity all of the time... and much less than we think.]... Mr. Gibson died in 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee.
