Hannes Alfvén was born as Hannes Olof Gösta Alfvén on May 30, 1908 in Norrköping, Sweden. He worked in plasma cosmology and co-proposed the Alfvén-Klein cosmological theory as an alternative to the so-called “Big Bang” theory. Mr. Alfvén died on April 2, 1995 in Djursholm, Sweden.
