Marvin Gaye was born as Marvin Pentz Gay, Jr. on April 2, 1939 in Washington, D.C. He sang the songs I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, and Got To Give It Up. Mr. Gaye died on April 1, 1984 in Los Angeles, California.
