David Tomlinson was born on May 7, 1917 as David Cecil MacAlister Tomlinson in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. He acted as “George Banks” in the movie Mary Poppins, as “Professor Emelius Brown” in the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and as “Peter Thorndyke” in the movie The Love Bug. Mr. Tomlinson died on June 24, 2000 in Westminster, London, England.
