Lane Smith was born on April 29, 1936 as Walter Lane Smith III in Memphis, Tennessee. He acted as “Perry White” in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Mr. Smith died on June 13, 2005 in Northridge, California.
