Arthur Hailey was born on April 5, 1920 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. He wrote the 1965 novel Hotel and the 1968 novel Airport. Mr. Hailey died on November 24, 2004 in Lyford Cay, New Providence Island, Bahamas.
