Phil Silvers was born on May 11, 1911 as Philip Silversmith in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. He acted on the TV sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies. (View a very funny episode here.) Mr. Silvers died on November 1, 1985 in Century City, California.
