Philosopher, mathematician, and author (of The Principles of Mathematics and Why I Am Not a Christian) Bertrand Russell was born as Bertrand Arthur William Russell on May 18, 1872 in Trellech, Monmouthshire, Wales. Mr. Russell died on February 2, 1970 in Penrhyndeudraeth, Wales.
