The Big Bopper died 50 years ago

Singer and songwriter (of Chantilly Lace) The Big Bopper was born as Jiles Perry Richardson, Jr. on October 24, 1930 in Sabine Pass, Texas. He died on February 3, 1959 near Clear Lake, Iowa.
