Ivo Pogorelich was born 51 years ago

Ivo Pogorelich was born on October 20, 1958 in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia. He is the pianist who competed in the 1980 International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition.

Thank you for remembering my great countryman, the greatest living Croatian musician.
Not to be confused, it's true, Ivo was born in Belgrade, Serbia, ex Yugoslavi, but his father was a Croat, and after 1980 he was living in Croatia - besides London, Lugano etc. - and since Croatia got became independant he is Croatian citizen.
Nevertheless, maestro Pogorelic and his art belong to the whole world and he is true citizen of world. I will enjoy his concert in Milano on 22 Oct at La Scala (Rachmaninoff 2 with Filharmonica della Scala and maestro Myung-Whun Chung)
