Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges was born on August 24, 1899 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He said, “In general, every country has the language it deserves.” {1} [Look at what happens when people don’t take the time to educate the children to speak – and think – well.]... Mr. Borges died in 1986 in Geneva, Switzerland.

English writer G. K. (Gilbert Keith) Chesterton was born in May 29, 1874 in London, England. He said, “Art, like morality, consists in drawing the line somewhere.” {2} [Good points.]... Mr. Chesterton died in 1936 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England.

U.S. lyricist Alan Jay Lerner was born on August 31, 1918 in New York City, New York. He wrote many songs with Frederick Loewe. Together they created “Brigadoon”, “Gigi”, “My Fair Lady”, and “Camelot”. Wow! Mr. Lerner said, “Coughing in the theater is not a respiratory ailment. It is a criticism.” {1} [Perhaps sneezing is the ultimate criticism.]... Mr. Lerner died in 1986 in Manhattan, New York City, New York.
