Samuel Taylor Coleridge died today – 173 years ago

English writer Samuel Taylor Coleridge was born on October 21, 1772 in Ottery St Mary, Devon, England. He said, “Some men are like musical glasses; to produce their finest tones you must keep them wet.” [Wet with what? Does it matter?]... Mr. Coleridge died in 1834 in Highgate, England.

English director John Richard Schlesinger was born on February 16, 1926 in London, England. He said, “Making a film is like going down a mine—once you've started you bid a metaphorical goodbye to the daylight and the outside world for the duration.” [Talk about isolation.]... Mr. Schlesinger died in 2003 in Palm Springs, California.
