Harry Chapin died today – 26 years ago

U.S. singer and songwriter Harry Chapin was born on December 7, 1942 in New York City, New York. You may remember his song "Cat's in the Cradle". He said, “But you can travel on for ten thousand miles, and still stay where you are.” {1} [Emotionally, psychologically, intellectually, financially, socially, ethically, and... anything else of which you can think, except physically.]... Mr. Chapin died in 1981 when his car was rear-ended by a tractor trailer truck on the Long Island Expressway in New York.

Mary Ann Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln, was born on December 13, 1818 in Lexington, Kentucky. She said, “Beautiful, glorious Scotland, has spoilt me for every other country!” {1} [I know at least one person that might possibly perhaps maybe agree with this.]... Mrs. Lincoln died in 1882 in Springfield, Illinois.

French writer Joseph Hilaire Pierre René Belloc, otherwise known as Hilaire Belloc, was born on July 27, 1870 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, France. He said, “It is the best of all trades, to make songs, and the second best to sing them.” {1} [This man knows the truth... since I like to write songs.]... Mr. Belloc died in 1953 in Guildford, Surrey.

U.S. mayor (of Philadelphia, 1972-1980) Frank Rizzo was born on October 23, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He said, “A conservative is a liberal who got mugged the night before.” {1} [I’m just the messenger. But... I guess the inverse could be: A liberal is a conservative who... fill-in-the-blank.]... Mr. Rizzo died in 1991 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
