Frida Kahlo died today – 53 years ago

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico. She said, “There have been two great accidents in my life. One was the trolley, and the other was Diego. Diego was by far the worst.” {1} [Don’t tell Diego.]... Ms. Kahlo died in 1954 in Coyoacán, Mexico.

Armenian-Turkish-Canadian photographer Yousuf Karsh was born on December 23, 1908 in Mardin, Turkey. He said, “I've also seen that great men are often lonely. This is understandable, because they have built such high standards for themselves that they often feel alone. But that same loneliness is part of their ability to create.” {1} [So if you’re lonely, perhaps it’s from your greatness inside.]... Mr. Karsh died in 2002 in Boston, Massachusetts.

U.S. comedian and actor Red Buttons was born as Aaron Chwatt on February 5, 1919 in New York City, New York. He said, “Dinah Shore? Wonderful woman. Dinah formed a foundation to locate missing senior citizens by putting their pictures on prune juice bottles.” {1} [I don’t get it... Just kidding.]... Mr. Buttons died in 2006 in Century City, Los Angeles, California.
