U.S. architect Philip Cortelyou Johnson was born on July 8, 1906 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He said, “Architecture is the art of how to waste space." [Some of it belongs in outer space. There's plenty of available space there.]... Mr. Johnson died in 2005 in New Canaan, Connecticut.
