Ludwig van Beethoven was born on December 16, 1770 in Bonn, Germany. He wrote the Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, op.13 (the “Sonata Pathétique”) and the Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor (the “Moonlight” Sonata). Mr. Beethoven died on March 26, 1827 in Vienna, Austria.
