Mitchell Parish was born as Michael Hyman Pashelinsky on July 10, 1900 in Lithuania. He wrote the lyrics for the songs Stardust, Deep Purple, Moonlight Serenade, and Sleigh Ride. Mr. Parish died on March 31, 1993 in Manhattan, New York City, New York.
