Richard A. Jewell was born on December 17, 1962 in Danville, Virginia. He was falsely accused in the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta, Georgia on July 27, 1996... Mr. Jewell died on August 29, 2007 in Woodbury, Georgia.

I'm also from Danville, Virginia, and I remember after the bombing the local newspaper had a huge headline saying that the suspected Olympic bomber was born here.
