Truman Capote was born on September 30, 1924 as Truman Streckfus Persons in New Orleans, Louisiana. He wrote the novel The Grass Harp and the novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Mr. Capote died on August 25, 1984 in Los Angeles, California.
