Jim Croce was born on January 10, 1943 as James Joseph Croce in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He wrote and sang the songs Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, Time in a Bottle, and I’ll Have to Say I Love You in a Song. Mr. Croce died in a plane crash on September 20, 1973 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
