Russian Israeli leader Golda Meir was born as Golda Mabovitz on May 3, 1898 in Kiev, Russia. She said, “Moses dragged us for 40 years through the desert to bring us to the one place in the Middle East where there was no oil." [You gotta live somewhere.]... Ms. Meir died in 1978 in Jerusalem, Israel.
